Pearls. Is there a more elegant piece of jewelry. If there is, I can't think of one. Pearls are the epitome of elegance and sophistication and I have always loved them.
They are timeless classics, worn by ladies. Above is an example of my husband's paternal grandmother looking particularly feminine and fetching in a string of pearls IN THE KITCHEN! This makes cooking at once attractive and classy. Below is my husband's maternal grandmother wearing a string in her senior portrait. They seem to lend an air of gentle, elegant womanhood (which she has maintained throughout her life, with or without pearls).
Though pearls are among the less costly of ornaments, I cannot help but be partial to them. They can go from dressing up jeans and a polo, to finishing my wedding ensemble.
