. . . that Toddlin' Town . . .

During our stay in Michigan, we went to "the town that Billy Sunday could not put down," Chicago.
We visited the Museum of Science and Industry.  It was a very fast walk through.

We hit the main points of interest, the favorite of the girls being the hatchery, where they could watch baby chicks hatching from eggs in one half and in the other half watch the cute little fluff balls run around.

I made them pose for this picture.  Thus the cheesy grins.  Still cute though, if you ask me.

Being a fan of "Frank," I of course love the song "Chicago."  I had to get a photo of all of us in the State Street car.

Each of the granddaughters, upon learning to read is taken to the American Girl Place to receive the American Girl doll of her choice along with the set of books that tell her story.  Our eldest chose Julie (1974).  I told my husband, "You know your getting old when your daughter choses a 'heritage doll' from your generation."

While there we also had to stop at the Cheesecake factory and bring home some fresh treats.  They were rich and sinfully delicious!!
