Here are some photos from this year's autumn costume party. The theme was "Beatrix Potter."
Guests were encouraged to dress in costumes of the author's period or as characters from her books.
The cuisine was of a woodland variety, with salads, vegetable soups . . . oh, and a rabbit pie brought by the Mcgregor family.
A friend of Miss Potter brought a beautiful fruit tart and another brought an adorable spice log.
Here we have Mrs. Rabbit and Mr. Jeremy Fisher accompanied by Jemima Puddle Duck and Beatrix.
And here is Flopsy Rabbit's tail side.
After dinner many of the guests played a rousing game of Apples to Apples.
Some of them instead chose from the wide selection of individual activities.
Cotton Tail loved the balloons. . .
. . . especially when Flopsy inflated them.
Mopsy loves everything.
Especially her tail.
And this is the end of our party's "tail."
