It seems no time at all that I was imagining with my mother how soon my soon to be born baby would be a toddler and with friends how soon our little babies would be preschoolers. Suddenly I am sending my little one off to her first day of the third grade. Some friends came over the night before to help celebrate this momentous occasion with ice cream sundaes. When the time came to actually get in the truck with her daddy and leave, she was a little nervous, as was I. I spent nearly as much time praying for her to make God honoring choices that day as I ought to every day.
When I picked her up from school, she beamed. A little girl from our church family is in many of her classes, as is a little girl from just down our road. Her teacher is, "really nice," and, "just like you mom, she doesn't let us have too much sweets." She loves her classes and her teachers. Her day ended well, being allowed to spend the afternoon shopping for a new lunch box and treats with her aunt and spending the evening at her apartment playing with a little cousin.

I am so proud of the openness she has in her faith, yet I continue to pray that she will live out the faith inside her and that she will be a light to those around her, whether young or old. I pray most that she will be strengthened in her own faith and desire more of God and His ways. Please pray for her as well.
